Man suffers life-threatening injuries after collision in Wakefield
Police are investigating what happened
An investigation is underway after a man suffered life-threatening injuries after a collision in Wakefield.
Officers say an electric bike collided with a lamppost yesterday afternoon on the A6194 Neil Fox Way.
The man who is in his 60's was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A police spokesperson said:
"Roads policing officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Wakefield in which a male cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries.
"The collision happened shortly after 4:55pm yesterday (3/9) and involved an electric-powered bicycle which was in collision with a lamppost on a footpath on the A6194 Neil Fox Way in Wakefield. No other vehicles were involved.
"The male, aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries."
