Man sentence to 16 Years in jail for sexual offences against a child

He's also been placed on the Sex Offenders register

A man has been jailed for 16 years for sexual offences against a child.

James Osborne, 42, of The Pyghtles, Northamptonshire, was arrested June 2020, following allegations he had sexually assaulted a child under 13 between 2019 and 2020.

Osborne was charged on 15 March 2021 with two counts of rape, following an investigation by West Yorkshire Police.

Osborne was convicted by a jury of two counts of rape of a child under 13, after a four-day trial at Bradford Crown Court in November 2021,

Throughout the trial he repeatedly denied the offences and said the child was lying.

Today (14 February 2022) he was sentenced to 16-years in jail placed on the Sex Offenders register.
