Man pleads not guilty to murder charge following Hebden Bridge pub 'fight'

A man will go on trial in December accused of murdering another man who was found unconscious outside a pub in Hebden Bridge in July.

Kyan McWhir, 31, of Vernon Place in Todmorden, pleaded not guilty to murdering 52-year-old John McWhir, who died in hospital after suffering a serious head injury.

Emergency services were called to Crown Street on Saturday 27th July, where the 52-year-old was found with a serious head injury.

Mr. McWhir's trial has been scheduled for 09th December.
