Man in life threatening condition after Keighley crash

A man has been left with life threatening injuries after a crash in Keighley.

Police say they were called to South Street just before 9oclock - where a man has been hit by a van which didn't stop.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact officers.

A Police statement said:

"Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Keighley last night which left a pedestrian with life threatening injuries.

"The collision happened on South Street, at the junction with Catherine Street, at 8:45pm last night (25/3) and involved a white Ford Transit van that failed to stop at the scene.

"The van was travelling from the general direction of Haworth towards Keighley.

"The male pedestrian, aged in his 60s, was crossing the road when the collision happened. The van then left the scene by turning left onto Gouldbourne Street."
