Man dies after Keighley house fire

A man has died after a house fire in Keighley.

Emergency services say they were called to a property on Spring Avenue in the Long Lee area at around 21.37pm.

A man was given medical attention at the scene then taken to hospital, where he passed away.

There aren't thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson from the fire service said:

"We were called at 21.37 last night to reports of a fire at a house on Spring Avenue in the Long Lee area of Keighley.

"Crews from Keighley, Bingley and Silsden attended and rescued one person from the property.

"He was given medical attention by firefighters at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he sadly passed away.

"Our Fire Investigation team our at the scene this morning, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
