Man charged after series of hoax calls to West Yorkshire Police

The 25 year old, from Pontefract, is accused of intentionally/recklessly causing a public nuisance.

A Pontefract man has been a series of hoax calls to West Yorkshire Police, reporting bomb threats and guns being fired.

25 year old Thomas Cannon. of Drawbridge Close, is accused of intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance.

He is said to have made multiple calls to the force between December 3 and 6.

Cannon has been remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Leeds Magistrates Court today.
