Man charged with attempted murder after police officers attacked in Leeds

A man's been charged with three counts of attempted murder after an incident where police officers were attacked in Leeds.

Emergency services were called to an incident at an address in Middleton on Monday night.

5\5 year old Paul Magee is set to appear in court today.

A Police statement said:

"A man has been charged with attempt murder following an incident at an address in Leeds where police officers were attacked.

"Paul Magee, aged 55, of Bodmin Crescent in Middleton, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a private place.

"He has been remanded in custody to appear before Leeds magistrates today (Wednesday).

The charges relate to an incident at an address in Middleton to which officers were called on Monday night."
