Tributes are being paid to Abdullah Mirzada and Khaja Raisoddin Mohammed
A man's been charged with the murder of two men in Leeds.
53-year-old Abdullah Mirzada and Khaja Raisoddin Mohammed aged 65 were found injured in Harehills on Saturday morning after police were called to Back Hill Top Avenue.
46-year-old Robert Jean of Hill Top Mount will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police say a scene remains in place at the address for ongoing forensic work.
A statement from the family of Abdullah Mirzada:
“Abdullah has always worked since he came to the UK in 2002. He never had any ‘cross’ words with anyone. Abdullah was a gentle and kind man. If he ever got into a disagreement with another he would walk away. We just cannot get this right in our minds.”
A statement from the family of Khaja Raisoddin Mohammed:
“Dad was a man of good character. He liked to pray and go to the mosque. He never got into trouble, so we cannot understand why this has happened. We cannot console ourselves; we are unsettled.”
A 47-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the incident, has since been released without charge and will face no further action.
