Man charged with murder over Hebden Bridge pub 'fight'

A 52-year-old man died in hospital after being found outside a pub in a busy street on Saturday

A man has been charged with murder after police were called to reports of a 'fight' outside a pub in Hebden Bridge.

A 52-year-old man suffered a serious head injury and was found unconscious outside the pub in Crown Street on Saturday night (July 27.)

He died in hospital two days later, and police have now charged 31-year-old Kyan McWhir, from Vernon Place in Todmorden, with murder.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
