Man arrested after fatal Heckmondwike crash
A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car
A man's been arrested a woman was hit and killed by a car in Heckmondwike yesterday evening.
It happened at around 7:50pm in White Leeds Road.
A grey Seat Leon was involved in a crash with a female pedestrian as she was crossing the road.
The 69 year old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
