Major disruption on Bradford buses as station closes due to damage

There's major disruption on buses through Bradford this afternoon (January 05) following the closure of the bus station at Bradford Interchange.

It's believed it was badly damaged during Storm Henk, which hit West Yorkshire earlier this week.

Buses are now using alternative stops, while travel bosses say trains from the interchange are unaffected.

In a statement, operators Metro Travel said: "We have taken the precautionary measure to close Bradford Interchange Bus Station following some damage believed to be linked to recent extreme weather.

"Bus services will still be running and we are working hard to limit disruption."
