Man in his 70s dies in M1 crash after suffering 'medical episode'
Police were called to the collision southbound at Carr Gate this morning

A man in his 70s has died, after suffering what police believe was a medical episode behind the wheel on the M1 in West Yorkshire.
The collision happened at around 8am this morning southbound near to Junction 40 at Carr Gate.
A Kia swerved into the central barrier, before striking a Volkswagen Tiguan.
It's believed the Kia driver had swerved across from the first lane of the road.
The M1 remains closed close to Junction 40 as investigations continue, with witnesses being urged to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.
