Leeds United will issue a 1 year ban to parents or guardians who allow their children to run onto the pitch on matchdays.
There's been recent incidents where young supporters have been sent onto the pitch. The club says this 'will not be tolerated whether it is before, during or after a game'.
The pitch is part of a coronavirus 'red zone' for any matchday, as well as the technical area, tunnel and dressing room, meaning you have to be checked for a negative test result before entering the stadium.
A statement from the club reads:
"We will have a zero-tolerance approach to those invading the pitch and those putting players at risk, with football banning orders issued to any supporters identified.
"The recent trend with incidents have included young supporters being sent onto the pitch and this will not be tolerated whether it is before, during or after a game, in these cases the parents or guardians of the juniors in question will be given a one-year ban from matches.
"The support and atmosphere created at Elland Road by our fans is incredible, but it is the safety of everyone attending the matches that is the club’s priority at all times, and this includes players and officials."
