Former Leeds teaching assistant jailed for sexual offences against children
Nathaniel Holt has been sentenced to over five years in prison
A former teaching assistant from Leeds has been jailed after admitting to a series of serious sexual offences against children.
Nathaniel Holt, aged 26, of Victoria Park Avenue in Bramley, received a sentence of five years and eight months at Leeds Crown Court on November 26.
He has also been placed on the sex offenders register and given a lifelong sexual harm prevention order.
Holt admitted to offences included:
Making almost 2,800 indecent photographs of children
Taking an indecent photograph of a child
Possessing 50 prohibited still and moving images of children
Recording images under clothing to observe another without consent
Three counts of assaulting girls under 13 by touching, involving two victims
Causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity
Detective Constable Susan Abbott, of West Yorkshire Police, said:
"I would like to thank the victims for their courage and bravery in coming forward, particularly given their young age."
"The impact of Holt’s actions is something that they will undoubtably live with for the rest of their lives, but I hope the conclusion of this court case provides them with some comfort."
