Jaka Bijol: 'More to come' after Leeds overturn losing streak with big 3 - 1 win over Chelsea
Slovenia defender Bijol's first goal for Leeds gave them a flying start and Ao Tanaka's superb 25-yard effort put them 2-0 up at half-time.
Jaka Bijol said there is plenty more to come from Leeds after their impressive 3-1 home win against Chelsea lifted them out of the bottom three.
Slovenia defender Bijol's first goal for Leeds gave them a flying start and Ao Tanaka's superb 25-yard effort put them 2-0 up at half-time.
Substitute Pedro Neto pulled one back for Chelsea early in the second period, but Leeds regained their two-goal cushion through Dominic Calvert-Lewin and clinched their first Premier League points since late October.
Bijol said: "I think we can do better, honestly. I'm looking forward to what this team can show us this season because I think we have a lot of quality.
"We have a lot of really good energy as well and I'm sure we can do a lot of good stuff this season. We just have to continue on Saturday and keep some consistency."
Leeds face Liverpool at Elland Road on Saturday and, having lost six of their last eight matches, there has been mounting speculation over the future of head coach Daniel Farke.
On the significance of Wednesday night's win, Bijol added: "It was important for everyone, honestly. I think everyone wants to give back the trust and everything.
"We never stopped believing in ourselves and what we do in training and everything, and we just kept our head down and worked, and we showed (it) on the pitch. Maybe some results didn't show it, but we got the win."
