Police launch appeal following serious assault outside pub in Leeds

Police in West Yorkshire are appealing for witnesses after a man was taken to hospital following an assault in Leeds.

Officers were alerted to an ongoing incident outside a pub on Austhorpe Road in the east of Leeds city centre.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 6:21 p.m. on Friday (July 5th), including police offers and ambulance workers.

When responders arrived at the scene of the incident, they found two men having an altercation outside the pub that led to one of the men being injured in his leg.

The man, who was in his 30s, was taken to hospital following the incident, where his leg injury was treated by doctors.

Investigations into the incident are now ongoing as officers try to piece together the events that led to the assault taking place.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information, with a specific appeal to those who may have seen the assault take place.
