Police launch appeal after man seriously injured in Kippax collision

West Yorkshire Police have launched an appeal for information and witnesses following a serious collision near Leeds.

Officers were alerted to an incident taking place close to The Old Tree Inn on High Street in the suburb of Kippax on Friday (September 27th).

When responders arrived on the scene, they found a man in his 20s who suffered serious head injuries as he tried to cross the road.

It is believed that the car, a red Honda Jazz took place shortly before 9:30pm, with officers arriving at the scene shortly after.

Paramedics were deployed to give emergency medical treatment to the man, before he was taken to hospital.

The victim currently remains in hospital where he is being described as being in a "serious" condition.

Officers have now launched an appeal for those who may have been in the area at the time of the crash to come forward.
