Investigation launched after fatal crash in Castleford
Police were called to Front Street yesterday afternoon (28/5/24)
An investigation is underway after a fatal crash in Castleford.
Police say they were called at 4pm yesterday afternoon to reports of a crash involving a motorbike and several cars on Front Street.
The motorcycle rider died as a result of the collision.
A Police statement said:
"Police were called to Front Street, Glasshoughton, Castleford at 4pm today to a report of a very serious collision involving a motorbike and several cars.
"Emergency services attended the scene where it was confirmed the male motorcycle rider had sadly died as result of the collision."
A road closure was put in place.
