Man charged with murder after fatal stabbing in Huddersfield

A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder after another man, aged 20, was stabbed to death in Huddersfield last week.
Luke Belbin, of Mitre Street, Huddersfield, appeared before Leeds Magistrates' Court today charged over the killing of Kyrell Fleary-Gayle, 20, on Greenwood Street on January 20.
Belbin is next set to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.
The investigation into Kyrell's death remains ongoing, with a 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender still in custody.
Several others have been arrested in connection with the case, including a 25-year-old man who was arrested on Thursday (January 22) on suspicion of murder who is now out on bail, alongside a 23 year old man questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Five men aged between 48 and 51 who were previously arrested on suspicion of murder have been released without charge.
