Huddersfield Town have booked their place in the quarter finals of the League Trophy, thanks to a 3 - 0 win over Rotherham United last night.

The Terriers were 2 - 0 up at the break thanks to goals from Will Alves and Lasse Sorensen, with Cameron Ashia adding a third to seal a dominant display at the Accu Stadium.

The last 8 continues to take shape, with Port Vale getting past Bolton, Swindon beating Luton, Stockport County winning against Harrogate and Plymouth coming out on top 4-3 against Bristol Rovers.

Doncaster Rovers also also into the quarter finals thanks to a 3-1 over Fleetwood.

AFC Wimbledon knocked West Ham's U21s out 4-2 on Monday night, with the victor of Northampton vs Walsall to complete the quarter finalists tonight.

Town Manager Lee Grant said: “We are obviously delighted with the result and the performance. It’s hugely important that we took the next step in the competition."

"The group have set their stall out this year, and we know that playing at home to League One rivals, and having to go to Lincoln in the last round are all important games, and not easy games.

“We made tonight look and feel easy because of the speed we played at, the intensity that we played at, and the dominance and control that the group were willing to impose onto the game. That was really good, and a really pleasing aspect of it.”

The draw for the next round will take place on Saturday.
