A man from Huddersfield has organised a Christmas day walk, so no one has to spend Christmas alone.

Jay Mistry will be dressed as Santa for the 8 mile hike.

He said:

"I wanted to organise something, because I know how lonely Christmas can be. I've spent Christmas alone myself, and I thought why not get people out, get people together, make new friends and make new memories.

"I think the pandemic has shown the pandemic is a big thing and I wanted to promote the spirit of Christmas.

"Christmas is a lonely day, people find it the hardest day being on their own, more than ever it's so important to get people together and creating a proper Christmas spirit."

If you want to take part, everyone will meet at Moot Hall at 10am, and start the 4 hour walk.
