According to 'Veganuary', eating plant based foods can reduce carbon emissions by up to 50% compared to the average diet.

Leila's Kitchen in Hebden Bridge say they want to share the message that vegetarian and vegan food can be exciting and delicious whilst also committing to sustainability.

Sourena Jowkar from there said:

"More than half of our customers are not vegetarian or vegan at all, but this is so beautiful that people are coming to this point, educating themselves, eating less meat, helping them to have a better life, and helping nature.

"By consuming less meat you are helping the world around you and climate change."

"It's fully sustainable to be vegetarian or vegan, and it's dead easy and is much more satisfactory in personal, life, it is so rewarding.

"By consuming less meat you are helping the world around you and climate change and making it more sustainable for the next generation to be here."
