Police have confirmed the M62 will reopen shortly after being closed in both directions between J32 for Pontefract and J31 for Normanton because of a "safety concern".

West Yorkshire Police said they were working with National Highways to "release trapped vehicles" and diversions had been put in place.

National Highways said delays were lasting around 60 minutes, and people are being asked to use alternative routes.

Police have thanked drivers for their patience.
