Homes in Huddersfield evacuated after 'small' explosion
It happened in Bradford Road overnight
A number of homes in Huddersfield were evacuated overnight after a small explosion in Bradford Road.
Emergency services were called to the Hillhouse area of the the town at around two o'clock on Wednesday morning to reports of a damage at a property.
West Yorkshire Police say a small number of people were rehoused and have confirmed no-one was injured in the blast.
They're now warning drivers to expect disruption in the Bradford Road area, with a section between Honoria Street and Eleanor Street still closed.
Investigations into what caused the explosion are underway.
