Leeds Rhinos have announced that Harry Newman will leave the club at the end of the 2026 Super League season, when his current contract expires.

Newman, who progressed through the Rhinos Academy, made his senior debut in 2017 and has since enjoyed eight seasons at Headingley.

The England centre, now 25, has made 129 appearances for Rhinos, scoring 45 tries.

Last season he was ever-present for Brad Arthur’s side and received a call-up to the England squad for the third Ashes Test against Australia.

Speaking to the Rhinos website, Newman said:

“This has been a tough decision for me but one I feel I needed to make at this stage of my career."

"Now the decision has been made I can move on with this season and finishing my time at the Rhinos in the best possible way with a big season in 2026 and helping bring silverware back to Headingley.”

The 25 year old has been strongly linked with a move to the NRL.
