A man was injured after interrupting would-be thieves in a car park
Police have launched an appeal for information after a man in his 70s was assaulted in Halifax.
It happened after the man interrupted a would-be thief in the car park of the Golden Fleece pub on Bradshaw Lane, Bradshaw, at around 5:40pm.
The suspect, who was wearing a balaclava, was attempting to steal with centre console of the vehicle and ran the victim over as he was leaving the scene in a car.
Officers have now released a picture of a car they're looking for.
Detective Inspector Rob Stevens, of West Yorkshire Police said: “This was a particularly nasty assault on a member of the public where a car was driven towards him as he tried to stop a suspect from getting away. It could have resulted in the victim suffering life-threatening injuries.
“I’m keen to hear from anyone who has information to help us find out who was behind this incident.”
