Pigs leave two injured after wreaking havoc on West Yorkshire golf course
No serious injuries have been reported
We've all heard of pigs in blankets, but for a West Yorkshire golf club, it turned out to be more pigs in bunkers.
Chaos ensued when two pigs crashed onto the Lightcliffe Golf Club in Calderdale, tearing up greens and knocking bags over.
The pigs were first noticed on Sunday, when a golfer sustained cuts to his legs at the hands of the black pigs.
Afterwards, the animals were seen again on Tuesday, injuring a male worker at the golf course trying to shoo them offsite.
Both men were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries, as well as receiving protection against tetanus, reports said.
As a result of the damage caused to the greens and to protect the safety of staff, the golf club was forced to close but reopened the following day.
Following their tirade, the two pigs were caught by West Yorkshire Police later that Tuesday.
This is not the first time pigs have made the headlines this week. In East Yorkshire, 200 pigs had to be evacuated following a blaze on a farm in Brandesburton.
None of the animals were harmed, but slight damage was caused to the barn.
