Five people have been arrested after the car they were in hit a house at Beeston in the early hours today (Saturday 20th January).

Three men and two women have been held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery, one of the men was also wanted on re-call to prison.

West Yorkshire Police say the car, a blue Volvo V60 had failed to stop for officers on Tempest Road around 3am.

All five people from the car were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries, none of which are believed to be life threatening.

The people inside the house which was struck by the car were not hurt, but because of damage done to the building were taken to alternative accommodation.

Police are looking to talk to two men in a white van, who they believe may have been involved in an altercation with the blue Volvo on Beeston Road earlier, as they could be key witnesses.
