Firefighters deal with blaze at high rise building in Leeds

Firefighters have been dealing with a blaze on the 8th storey of a high rise building in Leeds.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Little Neville Street near Granary Wharff at around 8pm last night

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say 3 people from the flat managed to escape unharmed.

Leeds Cladding Scandal also tweeted: "We are saddened to see a serious fire in Leeds this evening. We understand all those in Blue, Leeds got out safely."

Leeds Labour MP Hilary Benn says he's "relieved to hear that everyone is safe" and thanked WYFRS.
