Troubled West Yorkshire non-league side Farsley Celtic finally has new owners, after months of uncertainty around the future of the Leeds club.

The now Northern Counties East Football League has suffered a series of blows after a botched pitch upgrade forced them to play 'home' games at a variety of different venues, including at Buxton in Derbyshire.

In February former chairman Paul Barthorpe resigned after claiming to have received death threats over the club's plight.

The same month new manager and former goalkeeper David Stockdale was appointed, with the former Sheffield Wednesday, Hull and Brighton man now deciding to take over the stricken Celts.

The move will see the Stockdale family acquire 100% of holding company FC 2010 (Holdings) Ltd.
