Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with car near Leeds
Emergency services remain at the scene while investigations get underway
A motorcyclist has been left seriously injured following a collision with a car near Leeds on Saturday morning (September 28th).
Officers were called to the A58 in Drighlington at around 9:10am following reports of a crash between a motorbike and a car on Whitehall Road.
When responders arrived on the scene, close to the junction with New Lane, they found that the driver of the motorcycle had sustained serious injuries.
Other emergency services were called to the scene to help with investigations, whilst paramedics gave emergency medical treatment to the man.
A statement from West Yorkshire Police said that road closures are now in place as forensics carry out urgent enquiries into the crash.
They added: "Drivers are urged to avoid the area while the emergency services response continues.
"It is anticipated the closure will be in take place for some time."
