Delays after fire on train at Leeds Station

Emergency services are dealing with the incident

Services in and out of Leeds station are delayed today due to a fire on a train.

Northern say that some lines are blocked.

National Raid said on their website:

"Route(s) affected

"CrossCountry between Edinburgh and Birmingham New Street / Plymouth

"LNER between Leeds and London Kings Cross

"Northern between York and Blackpool North, and between Leeds and Bradford Forster Square / Knottingley / Skipton/ Ilkley / Retford / Selby / Goole / Doncaster / Sheffield / Chester / Manchester Victoria / Lancaster, and between Hull and Halifax

"TransPennine Express between Leeds and Huddersfield, and between Newcastle / York / Scarborough and Manchester Piccadilly, and between Saltburn and Manchester Airport, and between Hull and Liverpool Lime Street

"Lines have reopened following a fire on a train at Leeds. Trains to / from this station may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 40 minutes."

"This is expected until 11:00.

Customer Advice for Northern passengers:

"Northern ticket holders have acceptance on:

"TransPennine Express, LNER, and CrossCountry services.

"Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption. "
