Man charged with murder after death of woman in Cottingley

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Cottingley, with the victim now named as 54 year old Michelle Egge-Bailey.

45 year old Stephen Lawson, of no fixed address, is due before Bradford Magistrates' Court today.

It follows what police described as a domestic incident on Airedale Avenue on Tuesday (March 11).

Police were called at 10:43 to reports of concerns for safety, finding Michelle seriously injured. She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
