Fears temperatures could be deadly for homeless in West Yorkshire
There's concern temperatures across West Yorkshire could be deadly to homeless people over the next few days
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice across West Yorkshire will soon be lifted, but temperatures are still due to remain below freezing this week.
A homeless charity in Leeds said weather like this has proven to be deadly in the past.
Becky Joyce, who runs Homeless Street Angels said: "We've lost quite a few people in weather like this, at least three or four since we began and it is, it's just just heart-breaking".
We're due to see lows in the minus this week, and despite much of the snow finished now, it still remains cold.
Becky also said: "If it goes below minus, then they the council do put extra beds on at St Georges Crypt and technically no one is meant to be sleeping out on the streets. But obviously there's a lot of different issues why people won't go to the crypt and a lot of people get left to sleep outside."
