Castleford Tigers have lost out on the trophy of the Challenge Cup, as they lose 12-26 to St Helens in the final.

The last time Castleford Tigers got to a final was 2014, when they lost to Leeds Rhinos and the last time they won was back in 1986 when they beat Hull Kingston Rovers.

45,000 were in attendance, after becoming part of the governments Events Research Programme.

It was a special match for Powell, for him it was the last major tournament with the club.

Speaking before the match he said:

"I see myself as a winner, and to be a winner you've got to win things, not just games, but competitions, and I'd be disappointed, but it's not the be all and end all, but it is an opportunity.

"This is an opportunity for us to leave our own legacy."

Well, fans had every hope the team could bring it back, speaking before the game, they told us:

"It means everything for the players, because it's our last year with Powell and I just want him to bring some silver wear home.

"Definitely brings the community together as well.

"I cancelled a holiday in Scotland to go to Wembley and watch them."
