Man charged after racially aggravated incident near Bradford College

Police have confirmed a man has been charged following a racially aggravated incident near Bradford College on Thursday morning (October 9th).

West Yorkshire Police were alerted to an incident taking place close to Bradford College with a man acting suspiciously.

When officers arrived, they found a man wielding a knife and having been involved with an assault that had been allegedly racially aggravated.

Now, officers have said David Noutch, 31, has been charged with a series of racially aggravated offences.

Noutch, of no fixed abode, was charged with a racially aggravated offence under the Public Order Act, racially aggravated assault, threatening with a bladed article in a public place and assault by beating.

On top of this, he was also charged with two counts of assaulting a constable and causing criminal damage.

Describing himself as a white British man, Noutch was formally charged by police on Saturday (October 11th).

Noutch will now appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court later today in connection with the incident.
