Boy, 15, arrested on suspicion of attempted rape in Leeds

Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy as part of an investigation into the sexual assault of a woman in Leeds.

It happened in the Belle Isle area on Monday (8 December), as the victim walked along a pathway between Old Run View and West Grange Road just before 11am.

Police said she was approached by four masked men on two electric bikes.

A knife was then placed against her neck before she was subjected to a sexual assault.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempt rape and is currently in police custody.

West Yorkshire Police said patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the community.
