Investigation launched after body found near River Aire in Leeds

An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead close to the River Aire in Leeds this morning.

Officers were called at 7:48 to the junction of Whitehall Road and Globe Road.

A scene was put in place and has since been lifted, with the roads open as normal.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
