A foodie entrepreneur is hoping to get the tastebuds of Leeds tingling with his latest business concept.

Carl Denning is looking to secure funding in a national competition to open a Yorkshire Pudding Café.

He told Radio Aire his sweet and savoury recipes were inspired by his childhood...

“My mum when she was younger used to have Yorkshire Puddings with jam and you wouldn’t believe how many other people walk past the store and reminisce about how members of their family used to eat the pudding as a sweet. We now offer them with fruit and cream, apple and chocolate.”

Carl and his business partner have now entered the Richard Branson VOOM competition for a chance to win money to start the business idea.

Due to the public vote – they are now in the top 25 in the country!

The top 80 get the chance to go to London to pitch their ideas to the VOOM team.
