Bradford City AFC host Walsall this afternoon in league two, and host an NHS vaccine clinic at Valley Parade!

Supporters, players, staff and locals are being invited to grab a pre-match jab.

The clinics will be open between 1.30pm and 3.30pm (Saturday 4th September), just after the 3pm kick-off and will be signposted on Midland Road.

Clinical staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Anybody aged 18 and over can have their first vaccination and those requiring their second must have allowed eight weeks between each dose.

Vaccinations will also be offered to people aged between 16 and 17 and three quarters, although they will only require a single dose. Staff will be offering Pfizer vaccines.

Anybody wishing to have their second jab is asked to bring their previous vaccine record if they have it available.

Rukeya Miah, deputy associate director of nursing/senior midwife at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust / Bradford District & Craven Community Vaccination Programme welcomed the opportunity to provide the pop-up vaccination clinic at the Bradford City AFC match and hopes that as many people as possible will take advantage, including members of the visiting Walsall team and its supporters.

She said: "These clinics offer supporters attending the match, club staff and local residents protection against COVID-19 and I hope as many as possible will attend and have their vaccine.

"It is really important to ensure that members of our public are safe at sporting events.

"Being able to offer the COVID-19 vaccination at this event enables us to make the most of opportunities to fight this virus, especially following the relaxation of restrictions including social distancing."
