Two men have been arrested after an armed robbery at a betting shop in Leeds.

It happened on Saturday at around 7:38pm when two men entered the rear entrance of the Coral on Austhorpe Road armed with hammers.

They're reported to have pushed a member of staff before stealing cash from the till and fleeing in a silver Vauxhall Astra.

The staff member was unharmed in the incident.

Two men, a 42-year-old and a 48-year-old have been arrested and released under investigation.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been the car prior to the robbery to get in touch.
