Armed police carry out planned operation in Horsforth

Armed police have arrested three men - one aged 16 - in Horsforth.

Officers say it was a pre-planned operation.

They stopped a car on Hawksworth Road at the junction with Abbey Road at around 7.15pm last night.

Two 21-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested on suspicion of drug offences and remain in custody.

One of the 21-year-olds was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
