A West Yorkshire bakery chain founded by a winner of The Apprentice has collapsed into administration, owing creditors around £150,000.

Oh So Yum was set up by 2022 series winner Harpreet Kaur and had branches in Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield as well as a home delivery business.

Lord Sugar is no longer involved with the company, with Harpreet Kaur also exiting last year.

She no longer has any involvement with the firm.

In a document filed with Companies House, liquidators wrote: "The Covid-19 lockdowns and consumer behaviour changes led to significant disruption to the business.

"In response the directors pivoted to a greater use of the online platforms and expanded the product range to take advantage of this.

A bounce-back loan was also taken to support day to day operations during the disruption and changes."

The filing notes a pivot to selling on Just Eat and Uber Eats was unsuccessful due to high fees, with a decision later being made to close the Bradford branch to save money.

Essential repairs also closed the location in Huddersfield, meaning the business was "clearly insolvent by virtue of the fact that it could not pay its debts".
