From today, whether you're jabbed or not you won't have to take a test to travel or fill in a locator form on your return to the UK.

But, other countries still have covid-19 entry rules in place.

Grant Shapps said the changes will "mean greater freedom in time for Easter".

What does this mean?

It means holidaymakers can enter the UK without any restrictions for the first time since the start of the pandemic in spring 2020.

At the moment, only fully vaccinated arrivals can enter the UK without the need for tests, but they have to fill in a passenger locator form within 72 hours of travel, sharing their address, phone number, passport and flight details.

Tony Mann from Idle Travel in Bradford said:

"Getting rid finally of the time consuming UK passenger locator forms will make it easier for everyone, so it'll take away the stress for staff and passengers and queues at the airport.

"Just to make people aware of any potential restrictions and passenger locator forms which may be in place at the country of their holiday destination.

"Timing is great, because Eater is coming up, demand is already high for Easter and I can see that will continue towards the Summer months too."
