The stage is set in Leeds for England's final pre-world cup friendly - as national football returns to Elland Road for the first time in nearly TWO DECADES.

The last time England played in the city was against Italy back in 2002.

Manager Gareth Southgate says five Yorkshiremen will be in the starting line-up on home turf, as Delph, Vardy, Harry Maguire and Danny Rose are all likely to get their chance with one of Kyle Walker and John Stones holding their spot.

He joked that the Football Association was becoming almost as reliant on the White Rose county as the England cricket team and gave a vote of confidence to the idea of taking the national side away from Wembley.

Here - it's a sell-out crowd - so around 38 thousand football fans will be descending here and covering the South side of the city in red and white.

Former Leeds United and England player Brian Deane says it's the perfect send off for the side;

"The crowd will get behind the team, I mean it really is a cauldron down there - great atmosphere to play in when you're confident and playing well...

"Not so good when you are NOT playing well! And for the opposition it can be very intimidating."

The match kicks off at 8 tonight - we'll have more build-up through the day
