83 year old man dies after Ackworth crash
The man was in a car which rear-ended another car at a junction
An 83 year old man has died after a crash involving two cars in Ackworth over the weekend.
Officers were called to the junction of Doncaster Road and King Royd Lane at around 3:30pm on Saturday (February 22).
A grey Suzuki, which was being driven by the 83 year old, hit the rear of a blue Vauxhall which was waiting to turn at the junction.
He died in hospital earlier today.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing and anyone with information is being urged to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.
