Women in Leeds say 'not enough' has changed in the last year when it comes to tackling violence against women and girls
It's a year today since Sarah Everard, a 33-year old marketing executive, was kidnapped, raped and murdered in South London.
Her killer was a serving Metropolitan Police Officer, Wayne Couzens, who is now serving a whole-life jail term.
We spoke to Rhiannon Griffins from Reclaim the night Leeds about women's safety a year on:
"I feel like a lot has changed, but a lot hasn't. You can look on a local level and see minute changes, like more training to local bars, but when you look on a national level, not a lot has changed.
"On a local level I have felt a lot of change in regard to how women are treated when it comes to reporting sexual or violent assault.
"I really think over the next year we need to prioritise looking at specific groups and how they need help and also we need to look into the institutions we rely on to report crime.
"There are so many out there running campaigns for women's safety, if we put more time and energy into these groups, we truly would help a lot of these issues, a lot of these people."
