17 year old motorcyclist dies after crash in Huddersfield

He was involved in a crash at the start of this month

Police have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses after a 17 year old boy died following a motorbike crash in Huddersfield.

He passed away in hospital on Friday (June 18th). The crash happened at around 7:30pm on June 3rd, at the junction of Holmfirth Road and Tinker Lane.

The teenager was riding a Yahama motorbike, which collided with a Ford Transit van.

The Yamaha had been following a Kymco Lite moped. A 21 year old man, who was riding the moped, was arrested at the time and has been released under investigation.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the vehicles before it happened to get in touch.
