16 year old seriously injured in e-bike crash in Leeds

A car and an electric bike collided in the Sherbrooke Avenue area yesterday

A 16 year old boy has suffered serious head injuries, after a crash involving an electric motorbike and a car in Leeds yesterday.

Police were called to the junction of Lombard Street and Sherbrooke Avenue at 1:08pm.

The Talaria electric bike had hit an Audi Q7 as it moved through the junction.

The teenager, who was on the bike, remains in hospital.

The driver of the Audi was arrested on suspicion of drug driving offences and has since been released under investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information is being urged to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.
