16 year old seriously injured in collision in Leeds

A 16 year old boy has suffered has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Leeds. It happened at around 6.15pm in Beeston yesterday. The car was travelling towards Tingley.

A Police spokesperson said:

"Police are appealing for information after a car was in collision with a pedestrian in Beeston, Leeds. 

"At about 6.15pm yesterday (Thursday, 16 March), a blue Volkswagen Scirocco was travelling towards Tingley when it was in collision with a 16 year old boy, on Millshaw Road. 

"The incident happened south of the ring road, Beeston Park, Beeston. 

"The vehicle stopped at the scene. 

"The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the movements of the vehicle or the pedestrian prior to the incident, is asked to call the Eastern Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team via 101."
